Perfection - by the artists hand

The only artist who is perfect in all forms of creativity - in technique, in originality, in knowledge of the past and future, in versatility, in having perfect content to express as well as perfect expression of truth, in communicating perfectly the wonders of all that exists as well as something about Himself, is of course God - the God who is Personal.
Got, the Artist! We read in the New Testament in the book of Colossians: "For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in the earth, visible and invisible."

Reddy for a View

I am having a love affair with the lake view this summer. It peeks out behind many of my photos and even out of focus, steals the show.

Can We Trust Bible Prophesy?

If you think Bible prophesy is an allegory...think again! :)

2 Peter 1:16-19 (KJV)
For we have not followed cunningly devised fables, when we made known unto you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but were eyewitnesses of his majesty.
For he received from God the Father honour and glory, when there came such a voice to him from the excellent glory, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.
And this voice which came from heaven we heard, when we were with him in the holy mount.
We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts:

The Color of Summer

All the flowers are blooming pink and red and yellow, just like the balloons. I took a bit of liberty enhancing the balloon photo because they were so vibrant anyhow...oomph galore!

This morning I drove down the road (Lake Washington Blvd.) to Starbucks for a Caramel Capuccino & the Times (NY, not Seattle) and was bowled over by the incandescent glow of sunlight bouncing off of the the blooms, baloons, and bicycle riders. Anyone who has visited the Seattle area will know that we have a hard core bicycle culture here. I will avoid going on a rant about how they blatently ignore the rules of the road and put us all at risk...err, perhaps I didn't make it past that point as I had hoped. In any case, the bicyclists are usually be-garbed in jewel toned spandex numbers that stick out like a sore thumb in the grey, Northwestern haze, but under the summer sun, they look a part of the scenery.

Predestined Purpose

Ephesians 1: 7-12
In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;
Wherein he hath abounded toward us in all wisdom and prudence;
Having made known unto us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he hath purposed in himself:
That in the dispensation of the fulness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in him:
In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will:
That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ.

Laying Down in Peace

Psalm 4
1 Hear me when I call, O God of my righteousness: thou hast enlarged me when I was in distress; have mercy upon me, and hear my prayer.
2 O ye sons of men, how long will ye turn my glory into shame? how long will ye love vanity, and seek after leasing? Selah.
3 But know that the LORD hath set apart him that is godly for himself: the LORD will hear when I call unto him.
4 Stand in awe, and sin not: commune with your own heart upon your bed, and be still. Selah.
5 Offer the sacrifices of righteousness, and put your trust in the LORD.
6 There be many that say, Who will shew us any good? LORD, lift thou up the light of thy countenance upon us.
7 Thou hast put gladness in my heart, more than in the time that their corn and their wine increased.
8 I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep: for thou, LORD, only makest me dwell in safety.
